tennis homework

Roy Emerson (Australia) has won more major trophies than any other male tennis player winning 12 singles and 16 doubles bringing him to 28 major grand slams. Roy is just ahead of 3 other Australians; John Newcombe (27), Frank Sedgeman (22) and Todd Woodbridge(22). The player with the most single titles is Rodger Federer who is currently the best player in the world winning 17 grand slams. Another Australian, Margaret Court has won more major trophies than any other player (men and women) winning a massive 62 grand slams with her last one in 1975.
        The first game of tennis was played between 1859 and 1865.
